Hidden Treasure

As children we have incredible imaginations. A stick becomes a magic wand. Your hand a pistol. A couple of chairs and a blanket thrown over them is a spaceship racing to a distant galaxy and of course any old cardboard box a pirate ship in search of buried treasury. Somewhere along the way to adulthood our imagination becomes extinguished and we fail to see the enchantment hidden in simple things. Yet it is in those very things that we find the most value even if they elude our sensibilities. So the next time you find yourself walking down a forest trial, or through a grassy meadow, or along a sandy beach, stop for a moment to look at the surroundings. You just might find yourself immersed in hidden treasure so valuable that giving it up is unfathomable.
