At Low Tide

Low tide at Pescadero Beach. The rocks become exposed to the land lovers and a world that is hidden for most of the day is seen. From sea stars to anenomes to green and brown sea lettuce clinging to the rocks, and to crabs and even the occasional octopus can be found among the rocks and in the tide pools. A submerged world coming up for a breath of fresh air. Moving among these exposed rocks one can see how fragile the sea is. With even the slightest disturbance, plants can be ripped apart and small creatures crushed. Is our world really that delicate? It truly is and even the smallest of disturbances can send it out of balance and into destruction. Tread lightly on this world, for we are not its Master.
