Sentinels of the Sun - Organic Light Photography



	Sentinels of the Sun Silent and stoic these ancient Monterey Pines stand guard on the cliffs of the Big Sur coast. They are among some of the first living things that feel the brunt of the torrential rains and howling winds of storms that come off the Pacific as they move onto land. Likewise, they are among the last living things that witness the setting of the sun. Day after day, in the company of others or not, they see the sun off, quietly and with out boast. They are the hallmark of sincerity with neither complaint as they carry out their tasks nor seeking praise. How stoic we could be if we only could achieve the likes of their station. For were we not given the station of sentinels of this world?
