{"id":817,"date":"2010-08-16T23:27:02","date_gmt":"2010-08-17T06:27:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.organiclightphoto.com\/blog\/?p=817"},"modified":"2010-08-16T23:27:02","modified_gmt":"2010-08-17T06:27:02","slug":"mercy-day-5-knowledge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.organiclightphoto.com\/blog\/index.php\/2010\/08\/mercy-day-5-knowledge\/","title":{"rendered":"Mercy: Day 5 &#8211; Knowledge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It has been said that knowledge is power. \u00a0Likewise the saying, Ignorance is bliss. \u00a0They seem diametrically opposed, however both are true.<\/p>\n<p>Having knowledge of something is what brings\u00a0tranquility\u00a0to the heart when it is troubled with something foreign. \u00a0Ignorance of something brings fear, and fear brings caution and sometimes aggression which leads to oppression of ourselves and of the object of our fear. \u00a0Knowledge can\u00a0dispel\u00a0all that. \u00a0If you fear something learn about it before you cast your first stone. \u00a0You might find that instead of being held captive by fear, you will be liberated by what you know. \u00a0In that, knowledge is a true mercy.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time knowing some things can be very detrimental to our well being. \u00a0Certain things are hidden from us and will never be known, like the moment when we will\u00a0leave\u00a0this world for the next life. \u00a0And in some part what life is like beyond the veil of the unseen world is also a mystery. \u00a0Having knowledge of that moment would only bring angst and worry as it approached. \u00a0 The spectacle of death is not something easy to experience. \u00a0It is well known that people will die in the manner that they lived. \u00a0Live a wretched life and death will be the same. \u00a0Live a graceful life and death will mimic that. \u00a0I have witnessed a person who showed patience in life come to their end in the\u00a0most\u00a0dignified and patient manner. \u00a0I know of an angry and ungrateful person who died in a manner where he went out with a blaze of profanity\u00a0emanating\u00a0from his\u00a0tongue\u00a0that would\u00a0embarrass\u00a0even the most brazen of people.<\/p>\n<p>Ignorance of the state in which we meet our end and when we meet it is mercy as well. \u00a0Not knowing that and knowing that would, I hope, encourage us to be the best of people in the interest of dying with dignity.<\/p>\n<p>To attain dignity in life become a person of knowledge &#8211; know things. \u00a0Not just information, that false enlightenment served up in our modern world under the guise of knowledge. \u00a0To know something is to know it intimately in the heart. \u00a0Think about somthing that you know inside and out, something that you could teach someone without having to find a reference for or look up in a book or on the internet. \u00a0That is true knowledge. \u00a0It empowers, enables and endows the knower, bringing peace and tranquility to the heart and is a mercy to the knower and the one seeking to know.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 488px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.organiclightphoto.com\/gallery\/enlarged.asp?num=2&amp;cat=Fire&amp;returnindex=16&amp;returnpage=3\"><img loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Lifting The Veil\" src=\"https:\/\/www.organiclightphoto.com\/enlarged\/fogtreeslrg.jpg\" alt=\"Lifting The Veil\" width=\"478\" height=\"353\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Lifting The Veil<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Till tomorrow, Peace.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Having knowledge of something is what brings tranquility to our heart when it is troubled with something foreign.
