Carpet of Glory

In a desert barren of life for nine months out of the year, seeds hiding deep in its sand burst forth with impatience to Glorify the One who created them. For miles, these California Poppies with delicate intense brilliant orange petals paint a dead desert with strokes and patches of color almost too real to believe. But how can one measure the Glory of God? When everything in creation glorifies God for the bounty of life itself, it leaves us in shame of being God's pinnacle of creation fighting and squabbling over owning pieces of the creation. Had we not been so blind by our greed and envy, we could see what the creation was doing, and join in concert with it glorifying God and extending that carpet of glory over the entire Earth.
