A New Day

As a new day dawns on Russian Ridge overlooking the San Francisco Bay Area, a Yerba Buena bush stands in silhouette against a violet and magenta sky. Silently, it perfumes the air with its fragrance as a gentle breeze blows over the ridge. The gentle caress of the breeze awakens the grasses that cover the hills as they begin to sing with hushed whispers. Birds in the distant shadows of dawn begin to sing their songs and the Earth awakens to a new day. The subtleties of dawn are no accident. They are reminders of the of the amazing powers of renewal possessed by the Creator and are opportunities for us to show Gratitude to the One who renews the days. For each new day holds the hope of Peace in the World.
